Pour yourself a morning coffee and sit on the steps that lead down to Town Beach as you watch the kids searching for treasure on the beach below and the boatmen heading out to start their day.

When you’re ready to start exploring, step outside the front door and you’ll be right on the main street of Hugh Town, take the time to browse the shops and pick up a few souvenirs of the islands or take a stroll up the road and in just a couple of minutes you’ll be on the quay, where you can take a boat trip to one of the other islands.

If you can tear yourself away for the day, head out of the door in either direction and you’ll soon be on the coastline and following the paths around the island, don’t forget to head inland as well, as there’s plenty to see including gardens, nature trails, craft stalls and studios or if you want a more active day, you’ll find plenty on offer including horse riding, sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking, there’s something for all the family on offer.

In the evening, why not take a refreshing dip in the waters of Town Beach, its great at a high tide in particular, when you can swim off your own private steps. Once you’ve enjoyed your dip, grab a warming drink and relax in the sun room while you enjoy the last rays of the days sun and watch the sun set.
